It’s been a while since the last UK Ravens meet-up, so it was great to get three organised this year. With the playoffs looming – at the time of writing – it’s possible that we’ll organise more, but it depends on kickoff times. If not, there will definitely be more next season.
A few people have been in touch to ask whether we can organise meet-ups near them. We’re happy to do whatever we can to help. First, we need to find a venue that can show NFL Game Pass because the Sky games are announced with too little notice to properly organise a meet-up. If you know of a venue in your city that has Game Pass then we can book a space and publicise the meet-up on Twitter and Facebook. We want to help as many people organise meet-ups as we can, so get in touch if we can help you.
This year’s first meet-up was for the week 10 game against the Bengals (see photo, above). We met in Belushi’s in Hammersmith, west London, and although we had to wait for access to our area while the Premier League game finished, a good time was had by all. The stadium seating at Belushi’s is excellent.
For the Bills game, in week 14, we opted for two meet-ups. One was in Manchester, at the Brotherhood of Pursuits and Pastimes. There was a great atmosphere and their celebrations ended up being featured on the NFL UK Twitter account and Instagram stream.
The second meet-up of the night was in London, this time at the Moretown Belle, close to Tower Bridge. We even found a rogue Bills fan to watch with!
Here’s to more great UK Ravens meet-ups!
